Wait-time estimates

Estimates help customers decide whether to wait nearby. You control whether they are shown.

  1. How is the estimate worked out?

People ahead × average minutes per customer. With "Learn from each day", the average is the time between calls for the last 10 customers served today. Until 3 customers are served, it uses the usual time for your kind of business. With "Fixed time", it always uses the minutes you set.

  2. Where are estimates shown?

On the printed token, the customer's status page, the join page, the TV (next to each number) and your queue list.

  3. How do I turn estimates off?

Settings → Wait-time estimates → Show estimated wait. When off, no estimate appears anywhere; customers see only how many people are ahead.

  4. Why does it say "about"?

Every visit is different, so the time is rounded and never shown as an exact clock time.
