Terms of service

The agreement between your business and Queuely when you use the app, the display screen and the customer pages.

Draft of 4 November 2026. Not yet in force.

Draft for legal review. Highlighted items are still to be decided. A lawyer reviews this text, with the privacy policy and the data processing agreement, before launch.

The short version

  • Free for 200 tokens a month, with everything you need to run the counter. The count starts again on the 1st.
  • Pro is bought in the App Store or Google Play, at the price the store shows. You cancel it there too.
  • Your shop data is yours. Export it or delete it whenever you want.
  • Use it fairly: only enter customer details you are allowed to keep, and do not misuse the customer pages.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between the business using Queuely ("you") and [legal entity name], [registered address] ("Queuely", "we", "us"). By setting up a shop in the app you accept them. If you use Queuely for a company, you confirm you may accept them for it.

The privacy policy explains how data is handled. Where you enter your customers' details, the data processing agreement [link] also applies.

What Queuely is

Queuely is an app for iPhone and Android that issues tokens, calls customers in order and shows who is next. It also offers web pages: a display page for a TV, monitor or tablet, a join page for customers who scan your QR code, and a status page that shows a customer their place.

The counter works on your phone with no internet. The display page, the join and status pages, backup and WhatsApp messages need a connection on your phone (SMS works offline). The display page also needs one on the screen that shows it, and the join and status pages on the customer's phone.

Using it with or without an account

You can run a shop with no account. The first time the app is online, it quietly registers your shop so the online features work. Signing in with Google or Apple adds backup and restore on a new phone. Keep access to that sign-in safe: whoever has it can restore your shop.

Free plan and Pro

  • Free plan. Currently 200 tokens a month, counted on the phone and started again on the 1st of each month; we tell you in the app before this changes. Changing the phone's clock or reinstalling the app is not a way to reset the count. Tickets, the display and customer pages show your shop name and a small "powered by queuely.app" line. History and reports cover the last 30 days.
  • Pro. Monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase, bought through the App Store or Google Play at the price the store shows in your country. Pro removes the monthly limit and the "powered by" line, adds your logo on tickets, the poster, the display and customer pages, adds your own welcome line on the display, and keeps history and reports beyond 30 days. The store handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own rules.
  • When Pro ends, the free plan applies again: your logo and welcome line stop showing, and reports show the last 30 days.
  • Checking Pro. The app confirms your plan online about once a week. Pro keeps working until 7 days after your paid-until date, even offline. After that the free plan applies until the phone is online and the renewal reaches it. Lifetime has no end date.
  • Lifetime means [definition: for example, for the life of the product, per shop].
  • Price changes to subscriptions follow the store's rules, which include telling you in advance.

Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate shop details and keep your phone and sign-in secure.
  • Follow the laws that apply to your business, including privacy and consumer laws.
  • Keep your own copy of anything you must keep by law. Queuely is a queue tool, not a records system.
  • Use the wait estimates as guidance. They are estimates, not promises to your customers.

Your customers

You decide whether to ask customers for a name or phone number. When you do, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to keep it and for telling them, for example with a notice at the counter. Messages you send to customers by WhatsApp or SMS go from your own phone and your own accounts with those services, under their terms.

Fair use

Do not use Queuely to:

  • Break the law, or harm, harass or mislead anyone.
  • Send messages people have not asked for.
  • Show content on the display or customer pages that you have no right to show.
  • Probe, overload or get around the limits and security of the app or our servers, or copy and resell the service.

We may pause the online features for a shop that breaks these rules. Where we can, we tell you first and give you time to fix it.

What we provide

We work to keep Queuely reliable and to fix problems quickly, and the counter keeps working on your phone when our servers cannot be reached. Online features depend on the internet and on services outside our control, so we cannot promise they are always available. We may improve or change features; if we remove one that Pro includes, we tell you in the app first.

Ownership

Your shop data, logo and content stay yours. You allow us to store and show them only to run Queuely for you. The app, the Queuely name and logo and the website belong to us, and you may use the app for your business under these terms. Open-source parts are used under their own licences, listed in the app.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time: export your data, then delete your account in Settings, Account, or on queuely.app/delete-account. Cancel an active subscription in your store account; deleting the app does not cancel it. If we end the service, we give [notice period] notice so you can export your data.

Limits of liability

Queuely is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales or a missed customer, and our total liability is limited to [cap: for example, the amount you paid us in the last 12 months]. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the law of [governing law], and disputes go to the courts of [jurisdiction], unless the law where you are says otherwise.

If the terms change in a way that matters, we say so in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Queuely after that, the new terms apply.
