Privacy policy

Queuely is built so your queue lives on your phone. This page says what we keep, why, where, for how long, and how you remove it.

Draft of 4 November 2026. Not yet in force.

Draft for legal review. Highlighted items are still to be decided. A lawyer reviews this text, with the terms and the data processing agreement, before launch.

The short version

  • Your queue stays on your phone. Issuing, calling and serving tokens work with no account and no internet.
  • Customer names and phone numbers are optional. You decide whether to ask for them.
  • No ads, no advertising IDs, no third-party tracking. We never sell data.
  • Usage numbers are anonymous counts, and one switch in Settings turns them off.
  • Delete your account and data inside the app, or on our website without the app.

Who we are

Queuely is a queue and token app for iPhone and Android, with web pages for the shop's display screen and for customers. It is provided by [legal entity name], [registered address] ("Queuely", "we", "us").

Your data and your customers' data

Two kinds of information pass through Queuely, and the rules differ:

  • About you and your shop (your sign-in, shop profile, plan). For this we decide how it is used, so we are the controller.
  • About your customers (the optional name and phone number you or they enter for a token). Your shop decides why it is collected, so your shop is the controller and Queuely is the processor that handles it on your behalf. A data processing agreement sets out these terms: [link to the data processing agreement].

If you are a customer of a shop that uses Queuely, contact that shop about your details. We help the shop answer you.

Messages to customers by WhatsApp or SMS are sent from your phone's own apps. Queuely does not send them and does not keep their text.

What we never do

  • Show ads, or use advertising identifiers.
  • Add third-party tracking or analytics packages.
  • Sell, rent or trade personal data.
  • Contact your customers for our own purposes.

Who else handles it

Crash reports and usage counts run on open-source tools that we host ourselves, so they are not sent to an analytics company. Others involved:

  • Apple and Google, for sign-in and for store purchases, under their own privacy policies.
  • Our hosting provider, [hosting provider and region], which stores our servers' data on our behalf.
  • Our email provider, [provider], for the welcome email.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

Where it is kept

Your queue is kept on your phone. Data sent for online features and backups is stored on servers in [country or region]. Where the law asks for data to stay in a region, [regional arrangement to be confirmed].

How long we keep it

  • Your backup is kept while your account exists and removed when you delete the account.
  • Token history on the phone and in the backup is kept for [period, free and Pro], then removed automatically.
  • Crash reports: [period]. Usage counts: [period].
  • Support requests: [period] after they are resolved.
  • Shop data held for online features without an account: [period].

Your choices and rights

  • Use it without an account. Everything at the counter works with no sign-in.
  • Turn off usage counts with Share anonymous usage data in Settings. In the EU and the UK it stays off until you agree. Crash reports stay on; they carry no customer data.
  • Export your data from the app at any time.
  • Delete your account and data in Settings, Account, or on queuely.app/delete-account without the app. An active subscription is cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your data, and to object to or limit how it is used. Write to [privacy contact email] and we will answer within [response time]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Keeping it safe

Connections use encryption (HTTPS). Sign-in keys and your licence are kept in your phone's secure storage. The app holds no secret keys, and access to our servers is limited to the people who run them.

Children

Queuely is made for businesses and is not meant for children under [age]. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we say so in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
